At the Dushanbe International Airport, the leader of Uzbekistan was met by the country’s Prime Minister, KoҚir Rasulzoda, and the Mayor of the capital, Rustam Emomali.

Upon arrival at the summit,Mirziyoyev met with the leader of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, at the Palace of the Nation. The parties discussed the dynamics of development and strengthening of the Uzbek-Tajik relations in the spirit of friendship, good neighborliness.

The meeting discussed issues and principles for the implementation of the partnership. It was noted about the growth of trade, joint projects and programs of cultural and humanitarian exchange.

The leaders of the two countries discussed topical issues of the regional and international agenda.

In conclusion, Mirziyoyev wished the President of Tajikistan successful implementation of the upcoming CICA summit events.
